That’s where the PLAY SERIOUS AKADEMIE takes over the baton from speaker and consultant Mathias Haas, THE TREND WATCHER. At this point, the positioning has to be shaped. That’s when consequent and explicit work begins: The implementation into departments and teams – from the individual to sites and markets.
The PLAY SERIOUS AKADEMIE extends the possibilities by means of moderated change processes and interfaces directly to previous internal or external consultancy work.
This step is all about final (re-)positioning, about structural change and both internal and external communication. In particular the latter is often uncared-for, even though successful change is – in any case -also a result of communicational excellence.

The project started as a workshop to establish an innovation management structure. Since then, it generated a wide spread impact. Having achieved radical change in attitude was a very welcome side effect.
The start of this process was marked by the definition of a common journey. This concept has received support and encouragement for change at a number of places. The portfolio used included learning trips to other worlds, radical “24-hour innovation sessions”, “Konferenzen der Misserfolge” (conferences of failure) and trainings to become a trend watcher. With the latter, Mathias Haas, THE TREND WATCHER, made himself replaceable within the organisation.
Even after 2 years the ” journey is the goal “. New future workshops are held on a continual basis with vigour and initiative. Future fitness is growing exponentially. We are enthusiastic about so much courage, openness and stamina.
The operationalization of a future-fit orientation starts at the very top – within the management body. All levels should be met and involved in a transparent way. Following a strategy development process, this one question had to be asked, even for a completely overfilled everyday life: What can be deleted without replacement? And which impact will this have further down the line? In order to exercise this way of thinking, old patterns were broken up and questioned.
This organization was re-aligned and then – in detail – made fit for the future. “Omission” workshops were implemented and, for example, in-house “Trained facilitators of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, method and materials, PSA” got educated.
A new kind of efficiency was created, one lives the zeitgeist that such a company needs. We say: Let’s play, let’s stay serious.
It’s not only us who carry the love for change out into the world, sometimes our customers do the same themselves. The TREND WATCHER Mathias Haas was already known in the company – this is why we were invited into this universe.
We are a regular component of their innovative event formats. We unpack our toolboxes to achieve meetings that are far beyond standard. The team gets activated and inspired by Think Style Analyses, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Workshops, Footprint Visions and Value Anchors.

This work does not only describe the character and basic rules of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, but also answers most of the common questions – including the fundamental one: How can we convince the decision-makers?
“WENN DIE ZUKUNFT ZUM HEUTE WIRD” (When the future turns into now), change becomes reality. In co-operation with the Innovation Lab of Deutsche Telekom and the Phantastische Bibliothek in Wetzlar, Mathias Haas, founder of PLAY SERIOUS AKADEMIE and known as THE TREND WATCHER, has taken this study as an opportunity for a reality check.
